Drama Teacher – Secondary Education

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theatre and performing arts, with a commitment to inspiring creativity and confidence in students. Fluency in English and Turkish is required, as the role involves teaching and communicating with students, parents, and colleagues in both languages.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in drama, theatre, and performing arts.
• Teach both practical and theoretical aspects of drama, including acting, directing, and stagecraft.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Develop lesson plans that encourage student participation and creativity.
• Organize and direct school plays, performances, and extracurricular drama activities.
• Stay updated on curriculum developments and best practices in performing arts education.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff in both English and Turkish.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is desirable.
• Experience teaching drama at the secondary school level.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Fluency in English and Turkish (both spoken and written) is required.
• Passion for the performing arts and the ability to inspire students.
Salary Package: Competitive salary, based on experience and qualifications. 31,000-34,000 £ annually.
